Johannesburg tour & historical walk;
with Cedric de la Harpe, takes you into the new era of Africa. as the magic of Africa in Johannesburg enfolds you, he will tell you about South Africa’s History, through his eyes.
For two years I offered this tour, free of charge, and never had one taker, so, from 2017, I accept a contribution of R450 per person sharing.
Cedric, A white, born in 1947, lived and moulded during the Apartheid Period, self-confessed racist, now in recovery, as Author and Reformer, maybe a not very successful reformer yet, his latest ‘novel’ Consider the Verdict, is based on the concept that, had the colonisation process not done what we did, our Blacks would be the wealth of South Africa, if not the world.

This walk / chat, is restricted to a max of 4 pax; We will only use local transport, and walk. All local transport, including the cost for Cedric to get to the participants, will be paid by the participants.
Johannesburg; the Newtown Precinct, and Top of the Carlton, and other Tourist Sites, are not my forte, if you have visited Soweto with us, I may provide a driver to assist, but really believe that you should consider the Local Taxi, or the Gautrain / Rea Vaya, Red Bus, public transport options.
During this walk, using public transport, we will focus on the area, from Bree Street, walking via Diagonal Street, the Anglo Main Street, moving east of the Park Station, through Noord Street, Drill Hall, Johannesburg Art Gallery, Hillbrow, Constitution Hill, Yeoville and Rockey Street, and the Rockey Street Market Place, once the European Cosmopolitan area, today the African Cosmopolitan area,
